Review of Christmas with an Angel: A shorty story by Debbie Mason

Brief Summary:

Michael Gallagher returns to Harmony Harbor for the holidays 8 Years after he left. Now after ending his engagement with a girl from a prominent family he is back in town hoping to move on and do what he wants to with his life instead of what his family wants. What he doesn't plan on is his running into his old High School flame Shay Angel and her family. Will old feelings return or will what happen in the past be too much to move on from?

My review:

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. This is the 6th book I have read of Debbie's and the 2nd in the Harmony Harbor series. I have always enjoyed reading Debbie's books so when I was giving the opportunity to read this short story I jumped at the chance. This book picks up where the last book ended and helps you understand Michael better and why he acts the way he does and why he has changed from his high school days.

If there was one aspect of the book that I did not like was that I felt this book was rushed and that the story was not as developed as her previous book the Harmony Harbor series. I think this book could have been better if she would have just made it into a full book. For instance i felt like the ending left you hanging and wanting more from the story. The story wasn't resolved.

I am interested to see if she does more with this couple in future books or if this is all we will see of them. Can't wait to read the next book.
