Review of Waking Up With a Billionaire by Katie Lane

Brief Summary of the Book:
Grayson Beaumont used to be the gorgeous artist in the family who lived in the moment and could have any woman he wanted. However, something happened well he was away and now that he has returned home his desire to paint is gone as well as his creativity. That is until Chloe McAlister walks back into his life again. Will Chloe be able to awaken the artist in him again or will his creative soul be gone for ever.

All Chloe wants to do is get out of town before the private investigators find out who she really is. However, things don't go as planned when Grayson tricks her into staying the night and locks her in his room. Hoping to annoy him into letting her go she tries everything she can. But things quickly change when he asks her to let him paint her? Will Chloe be able to resist Grayson's alluring charm or will she fall for him and risk her secret being exposed?

My Review:
I received an ARC of Waking up with a Billionaire by Katie Lane from Netgalley and the Publisher in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This is the second book that I have read of Katie's and the first that I have read in this series. I think that Katie did a great job developing the characters and giving you enough of their back story to understand why they acted the way that they did. She also did a great job of setting the scenes in the book. Between the French Kiss Headquarters, his house and the surprise that the author throws in the book, she really makes you feel like you are in each of the locations.

Another aspect that I enjoyed with this book is that along with the romance part of the story she also included drama, pain and loss. I really think having all these different aspects the story really made it strong and held me as the reader all the way to the end.

Lastly, the final thing that I think Katie did very well in this book is how she intertwined the previous two books into this series into this one. She not only incorporated their stories a little but also gave you a peak into what was going on in their life after the happily ever after moment. It allowed me as a reader to understand some background with out having to read the other two books right away. I do definitely want to read the first two books though as I am interested to learn more about the characters and what brought them together.

I am very interested to see where she takes this series to in the future or if this is the last book. I guess I will have to wait and see.
